Hayden Bean is a writer, memeologist and landscape designer from Ojai, Ca. His work is informed by the beauty of the natural world and humanity’s inherent connection to something greater than itself. He strives to inspire others, cultivate humor and encourage levity in his community and beyond. 

Hayden’s relationship with plants began at the UCSC Arboretum where he worked as a gardener for four years during his time studying linguistics at the university. From there, he went on to grow top-shelf, medicinal cannabis in Mendocino with Emerald Spirit Botanicals and to eventually start his own landscape design business in Ojai. He’s been working with plants for over fifteen years nonstop, constantly learning and developing his own style & approach.

Aside from his work with plants and landscaping, he is also a published author - his first book, Tree on Fire is now available to order. He also writes a regular column for the Ojai Valley News and posts memes and updates on his social media @small.time.citrus
